Add to that the diverse educational programs to keep you informed on the issues that influence the outcomes positioning Tampa and Hillsborough County for future prosperity and a healthy quality of life.
Our Roots
Since 1971, Leadership Tampa has been introducing its class members to major facets of the greater Tampa community through an intensive nine-month course. Founded by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Tampa’s members participate in educational sessions, tours and candid conversations with community leaders. Topics including law enforcement, education, social services, the environment, economic development and the arts – to name a few – challenge members to see their community as they never have before. In 1980, the Chamber established Leadership Tampa Alumni as a means to continue serving its graduates.
Who’s who?
With more than 550 members representing almost every class since 1971, Leadership Tampa Alumni’s graduates include current civic, business and professional leaders. In fact, nearly every prominent corporation, private business, government and social agency in Hillsborough County is represented in LTA. And they are involved!
